On the other hand...
Last time we talked about writing Kindle fiction books.
That’s certainly something that can lead to long term Kindle Unlimited earnings, of course, because you can create a series of books for the same heroes and villains, and for every page that a reader readers, you get paid a little bit. It can all add up nicely.
On the other hand, there’s non-fiction, which more of us are used to creating in our make money online niche.
Those books can also be long term earnings, but more so because of direct sales, not from free readers.
There’s a new product this week called Elite KDP Engine, which enables you to find a link on the web somewhere (even on Substack, I guess, if there’s no paywall), and paste it into the engine, and it will create a book for you, along with a cover as well as all the marketing assets you need to sell on Kindle.

Not because I agree with the premise, but because I created a companion custom GPT, where, instead of lazily pasting someone else’s link, you can provide a short prompt (as short as one word) and have it create an article.
You then take that article, paste it to your blog, and use THAT link instead of one from someone else.
And from there, the Elite KDP Engine will build the Kindle book and assets.

The GPT is even more powerful than it says. It claims to be able to create a document of 2000 to 2500 words in length.
Often it creates fewer words, but no worry.
With a prompt or two it will expand on that initial document.
In fact, I decided to try making an article about the ethics of using AI with Kindle, and first it created a 1400+ word article, but then with some easy nudging, it ended up with a Kindle-quality 18,000+ word book.
And if I do say so myself, it was written very well.
It doesn’t replace all that the Elite KDP Engine does, but I suppose if you asked it for a cover, it would make one, and if you asked it for the other Kindle marketing assets, it could do that also.
Just not all at once.
But I digress.
The point is, AI has come a long way in 3.5 years. It has taken tasks that we used to slave over and does them in a few minutes.
Legal? I think so.
Ethical? Hmmmm. But there are ways to make them ethical, for example what I taught in the TOC Cash courses and what this latest GPT does.
