Here’s the truth. The internet has created a world where almost any specific knowledge, skill, or experience has a potential paying audience. Not because information is scarce - it isn’t - but because people don’t just want information. They want it explained by someone they trust. Someone who’s been where they are. Someone whose experience gives them confidence that the advice actually works in the real world.
That’s you.
The retired nurse who managed a difficult diagnosis has something to say to the person who just got the same news. The former teacher who homeschooled three kids has something to offer the parent who’s about to try it for the first time. None of these people need a credential. They need a story and a willingness to share what they learned.
The exercise I walk people through starts with three questions. What do you know how to do? What problems have you already solved? And who is currently stuck in those same problems, looking for someone who’s been through it?
Those three questions - answered honestly and in writing - have helped people who were completely convinced they had nothing to offer walk away with two or three concrete product ideas they could start building this week.
You have more to offer than you think. You always did. You just needed someone to point it out.
